The restaurant is situated on an extremely high-traffic intersection of West 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue near Times Square. The restaurant’s two-story, multi-toned façade features textured plaster finish designed to resemble a traditional Mexican architecture. The renovation included repairs to the front façade, painting of the entire exterior, and corrosion protection and repainting of an extensive steel support system for the elaborate neon signage. Stalco erected a narrow scaffolding to limit the obstacles to the pedestrian traffic of both tourists visiting the Times Square area and commuters from the nearby New York City Bus Terminal.
