Custom engineered buildings
Stalco International Group designs, supplies, and erects custom engineered steel buildings for developers and architects of commercial, office, institutional, public, and industrial structures. Stalco works in a partnership with American Buildings Company (ABC), a division of Nucor, America’s largest steel producer, and a national leader in the pre-engineered buildings industry.

The technology offers buildings that range from very large sports complexes, offices, auto dealerships, and churches to infrastructure enclosures atop Manhattan high-rises. The computer-aided design and manufacturing process provides an unparalleled flexibility of design solutions, esthetic appeal, incredible speed of delivery, and significant savings of 10 - 30% of the total construction cost.

ABC’s BIM-supported design process allows clients and architects to review design and pricing alternatives within minutes or hours, a process that traditionally takes days or weeks.
The delivery typically takes place in only four to twelve weeks and ABC’s steel erection technology additionally reduces the construction time by up to 30%.

The flexible design process easily integrates third party curtain walls, roofing and finishes, a crucial benefit to architects developing high-end designs. It also easily accommodates expansions of existing facilities through hybrid structural systems incorporating pre-existing buildings.

Clients frequently select American Buildings’ structures for energy efficiency or when planning for LEED certification. ABC’s buildings provide LEED point benefits that include recycled, reusable and recyclable materials; highly efficient insulation; cool roofs; and green manufacturing.
