Cost: $850,000 Stalco served as general contractor for the interior fit-out of executive, administrative, and operations offices for Royal Health Care, a health insurance program management and claims processing provider. The offices are located within CA, Inc.'s 778,000-square foot headquarters campus. Stalco converted the area previously occupied by CA into a new tenant space. The project encompassed installation of a 400-foot-long glass wall along the second floor mezzanine; replacement of all ceilings; construction of nine executive offices, four conference rooms, an employee cafeteria, an IT and telecommunications room, a reception area, and a large mail sorting room; relocation of existing open space cubicle offices; and upgrades to the HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression systems. The perimeter glass wall consists of 80 tapered glass panels and three sets of doors. Stalco installed new laminate floors inside the 2,400-square foot mailroom and the cafeteria. The team recycled carpet tiles removed from the mailroom area by utilizing them for repairs in other areas. Construction of the IT and telecommunication room required installation of a custom fire suppression system, a climate control system, and additional power supply. Stalco upgraded and relocated electrical and lighting systems throughout the space to accommodate new private offices and the revised layout of the cubicle area. The team delivered the project on a very challenging five-week schedule. This required complex logistical planning and detailed coordination of long-lead item deliveries, including the fire suppression system and glass wall panels. © 2011-2014 Stalco Construction, Inc.
